Paper is FSC-certified and mill-traced; we publish the mill for every stock we use. Leather is vegetable-tanned in Tuscany without chrome salts, a slower process that uses tree bark rather than heavy metals.
Boards are made from 90% post-consumer waste. Head and tail bands are cotton. Adhesives are water-based and solvent free. The book ships in a recycled kraft box with paper tape and a compostable glassine wrap — no plastic anywhere in the chain.
At the end of a book's working life, send it back: we will rebind it into the same cover, or recycle the block and credit you ₹300.

I have filled three of these. The paper handles a wet nib without a hint of bleed, and the cover has taken on a colour I could not have chosen myself. The rebinding service sealed it for me — this is the last notebook I will need to shop for.
Bought it as a treat and now it goes everywhere. The stitching is dense and even, the corners are properly rounded, and the box it arrived in is still on my shelf holding letters.
No complaints about the make — it is superb. Just be aware the full-grain cover adds real weight. For a desk book it is perfect; for a handbag, consider the linen edition instead.
